Trisha headed to the kitchen, where the two guys were waiting for her. ‘Wow, you look great!’ Ritchi said. Adam was looking at a spot somewhere in the kitchen and passed her a cup of coffee. Trisha took it and stood in front of him. He seemed to ignore her. She tipped him on his shoulder and said ‘Hello, anybody home? I think the spot you’re looking at must have gone by now.’ Then she gave him a big hug and a kiss on his cheek, which made Adam flush. ‘You shouldnt do that, not after this morning.’ ‘Oh Adam, you’re so silly. But thats the reason why I love you.’ Adam looked at her. ‘You know how I mean it’, Trisha corrected herself. She knew it was still hard for him to accept her desicion, as anything else would have broken up a long-lasting friendship between Adam and Duncan. She loved both of them, each in their special way and after a long battle with herself, she finally decided that a friendship with them was the best she ever could get without loosing one of them.
Adam drove her to the office as he did 4 weeks ago. ‘Take care Sweety, and if anything is, give me a call and I come rescue you.’ ‘Oh, that would be funny, you on a white horse in your knight armament....’ she gave him a big smile. ‘Nono, I will come on a black horse with my warrior makeup’, he replied. Trisha started to think, then replied, ‘or dress yourself as Pizza delivery guy and then you can rescue me in a big Pizza cartonage.’ ‘Hmm, I will think of something but you should hurry now, otherwise you will be late on your first day and I will get a ticket because of parking in a unauthorised spot.’ ‘Yes you’re right, wish me luck and see you tonight.’ ‘Wish you luck’, Adam replied as ordered, let her out and took off.
Trish entered the entrance hall of Splitterfon. What a different feeling this time. Mr Pearson and apparently her new boss were waiting for her.
‘Good morning Ms Walker’ Mr Pearson said and shook her hand. ‘Welcome to our family. May I introduce you to Mr Robertson. You are going to be working for him.’ Trisha greeted him as well. And so her first working day began. She met all the people she would be working with, met Susan, the personal assistance of Mr Robertson, who introduced himself as Mike to her. He seemed quite nice and comfortable to work with. He was about mid 30’s she guessed and had a nice appearance.
Trisha felt happy here, and by the evening she even got involved in a little project. She couldnt wait to tell Adam and Ritchi about it. And she had to call Joe, Charly and of course Duncan.
For a long time she felt she finally could leave her past behind and start a new life with a real future. Maybe she will find THE man of her dreams, start a family and maybe she would even reach the age of retirement.
