She reached the boundaries of the Griffin properties and good luck, there was just to happen a cap passing by which she could stop. After an endless time she could finally lock the door of her flat behind her. She threw everything she had in a corner and took a long shower. She felt dirty as she had never before. Abused and humiliated. Under the shower she had the long waited for break-down. She did not hear the doorbell ring, she did not hear the phone ring, she did not hear Chris yelling for her in her backyard. She just sat in the bathtup and cried.
Chris finally gave it up. He did not know what to do next. He was close by calling the police when a neighbour came out and started to yell at him. Frustraded he went to Ben. He could not bare to meet with his family again after what they did to Trisha. She deservered better. Ben was the unfortunate person who had to deal with his anger. Anger against John. Once more he had ruined everything for him.
The whole night they were up and discussed the evening. By dawn, Chris knew what he had to do. But first he tried again to talk to Trish. He had an endless guilty conscience towards her. It would take a lot to rebuild their friendship, he knew. This time as well she did not answer anything. So he drove to his parents. He owed them an explanation and he was sure, John did not give the right one. He was not able to give the right one. John did not know all the facts. It would be hard, but it was the only right thing to do. He did not longer want to hide.
