Late this evening, Trisha was sitting on her bike in the Gym at her work. Lately she had discovered this sport for relaxing and emptying her mind of all the things worrying her. So she went on a regular base there, listening to the music of her diskman.
Far in the corner she could spot a couple though they were doing an exercise of their own. She did not care. She had her own things to worry about and she tried to sort them out. Trisha still didn’t know how she should handle John. She needed to talk to Charly. While deep in her thoughts she lost track of time. Trish did not notice the couple leave and that she was on her own now. She did not realise that someone else had entered the room closing quietly the door behind him.
After almost an hour she felt exhausted and decided that it was enough for today. She was gathering her stuff together as suddenly the light went off. Confused she looked around. Was this not a 24/7 gym, she wondered. Slowly she tried to make her way to the door as she heard a noise of weights being lifted.
"Hello? Is there anybody?" No reaction. She shock her head and went on. There again! A noise of a machine being used. But now the machine being used was much closer. She turned around, not without pushing her tow on something. Fuck, she thought. Trish tried to see something in the darkness of the gym. "Hello?" she asked again, now more worrily. Still she could not see a thing and the noises stopped again. Instead she heard a laugh, a laugh that she knew too well. It was bothering her for nearly a month now. But so far she had just heard it over the phone. She felt her blood freeze. She turned around and run towards where she guessed the door had to be. Unfortunately, as she could not see in the dark, she fell over an exercising tool. She tried to stand up, but a sharp pain in her ankle made it nearly impossible to stand on ther right foot. Shit! Trisha bit together her teeth and was hobbling towards the Exit. Now she could physically feel the person behind her.
"I get you!" The laugh. "No need to run away! It is payback time now!" the voice said, keeping on laughing in a way that made her shiver and gave her goose bumps.
"Leave me! What do you want? I havent done anything to you!" Trisha yelled into the direction she guessed her enemy had to be. She wondered why she reacted so panically. But somehow she could feel the danger coming from this person. Somehow it felt familiar, something she had had before. Trish rose her speed. Why was this bloody door so far away.
"You know it!" was all the man said. She almost made it now for the door when an arm grabbed her, pulled her back and put the other arm around her throat. He started to strangle her. Like a cat she was moving around, trying to hit him whereever she could. Unfortunately he was too strong and Trisha could feel how she got short of air. Her body started to go numb.
"See, as easy as that", laughed the voice. "Now you know that I am able to catch you where ever, whenever I want and that you are helpless against me!" saying this he carressed her cheaks. Trisha was close to fainting. No, this can’t be it. In one last effort she tried again to get free, but no chance. He was just laughing at her. The last thing she realised was him kissing her, then she drifted away into darkness.
